Characteristics of 2-organosilicon release agent


Comparison of 2.1 Organosilicon release agent and non-silicon release agent


Comparison of release agent form and dosage form: usually paraffin and fatty acids are used as release agents, only a simple dosage form. Accordingly, silicone release agent has various forms and dosage forms, and can be applied to bulk oil and various solutions or emulsions, thus providing convenience for different application requirements.


Comparing the working temperature of release agent: Because the polymer framework of silicone polymer is composed of silicon-oxygen bond, the bond energy of silicon-oxygen bond is high, and the heat resistance of silicone material is excellent, the stable working temperature of release agent of silicone exceeds the processing temperature range of almost all types of rubber and plastic (resin). Therefore, the application of silicone release agent does not lead to thermal decomposition and carbonization of release agent.


Releasing force comparison: Silicone is a low surface energy material, so the release agent made of silicone polymer has the least peeling force, that is, it is the easiest to use silicone release agent.


Safety comparison of release agents: Organic fluoropolymer and organosilicon polymer belong to the lowest synthetic surface energy materials only in terms of surface energy of materials, but after exceeding the allowable use temperature, organofluoropolymer may decompose and release toxic substances; while organosilicon material has good heat resistance and can tolerate almost all types of rubber. Plastics processing temperature, even if superheated decomposition products are safe and non-toxic.


Comparing the service life of demoulding agent: Because of the good heat resistance of silicone material, it can withstand the processing temperature of all kinds of rubber and plastic products, especially the non-migrating silicone demoulding agent based on silicone resin, which not only has high working temperature, but also has stable and non-migrating components of demoulding agent, showing the super-long service life of demoulding agent.


Silicone release agent is widely used in the processing of various rubber and plastics. It can be used not only in extrusion and injection processing, but also in moulding and laminating. Silicone release agent used in rubber and plastic products processing can reduce labor intensity, improve production efficiency and improve the quality of processed products.


2.2 COMPARISON OF SOME ORGANOSILICON DEMOLDING AGENTS


Different types of organosilicon release agents with different shapes have different application methods and effects. The application of bulk silicone oil type and aerosol type release agent is the most convenient. As long as the release agent is simply brushed or sprayed on the surface of the mould, the plastic products can be processed in the next step, and the products can be easily demoulded. However, after one or a limited number of demoulding, the release agent needs to be repeatedly applied. The coating operation of ointment release agent is more complicated than that of solution release agent. However, the working film formed by ointment release agent is thicker, which can be applied to rough surface moulds. At the same time, the number of sustained effective release is relatively more.


Compared with aqueous silicone release agent, water emulsion silicone release agent is basically free from environmental pollution without using organic solvents. This is the advantage. However, compared with the difficulty of demolding the rubber and plastic parts, the stripping force of the water emulsion type release agent is relatively large, and the number of continuous demolding is also less than that of the solution type.
