Wide application of silicone oil

At present, silicone oil is mainly used as high grade lubricating oil, shockproof oil, insulating oil, defoamer, release agent, polishing agent, isolating agent and vacuum diffusion pump oil, etc.

Description of silicone oil in various application fields

1. Daily chemical industry:

Silicone emulsion is widely used in cosmetics. Adding proper amount of products can make the cosmetics have the advantages of lubrication, anti sunlight, ultraviolet radiation and good air permeability. At the same time, because of the hydrophobicity of silicone oil, it can improve the waterproof and sweat resistance of cosmetics.

2. Textile industry:

Silicone oil can be used as fabric softener, lubricant, waterproof agent, finishing agent and so on in textile and garment industry. In order to meet the high-end demand of textiles, chemical products manufacturers are constantly developing silicone oil which can be used with various functional additives such as waterproofing agent, flame retardant, antistatic agent, fixing agent and so on. In addition, in order to improve fabric properties, there are organosilicon products which can be used in the same bath of dyeing, cotton silicone oil with cool feeling, organosilicon products which can improve fabric handle, and organosilicon deepening agents which can give fabric excellent deepening effect, good storage stability, without affecting color fastness and good handle, etc.

Besides functionalization of textiles as additives in textiles, organosilicon products will also be applied to other areas of textiles, such as coating of fabrics formed by combination of organosilicon and polyurethane, printing of fabrics formed by polymerization of organosilicon and acrylic acid, and waterproof coating of fabrics surface formed by combination of organosilicon and organofluorine. Layer and so on.

3. Machinery

Damping and shock absorption: Silicone oil is widely used in electrical machinery, electrical appliances and electronic instruments as insulation medium for temperature resistance, arc corona resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture-proof and dust-proof. At present, it is also used as impregnating agent for transformers, capacitors and scanning transformers of TV sets. In all kinds of precision machinery, instruments and instruments, it is used as liquid shock-proof and damping material. Because the anti-seismic performance of silicone oil is less affected by temperature, it is mostly used in instruments such as airplane and automobile when there is strong mechanical vibration and the environment temperature changes greatly. It can be used for shock-proof, damp, stable instrument reading, as well as liquid spring, and in the landing device of aircraft.

Thermal conductivity: Thermal conductive silicone grease is the most widely used thermal conductive medium at present. It is an ester-like substance formed by heating, decompression and grinding with silicone oil as raw material and adding thickener and other fillers. The substance has a certain viscosity and no obvious granular sensation. The working temperature of the thermal conductive silicone grease is generally from - 50 C to 180 C. It has good thermal conductivity, high temperature resistance, aging resistance and waterproof properties. In the process of heat dissipation, after heating to a certain state, the thermal conductive silicone grease presents a semi-fluid state, filling the gap between the CPU and the radiator, making the joint between the two more closely, thereby strengthening the heat conduction. Usually, the thermal conductive silicone grease is insoluble in water, not easy to be oxidized, and has a certain lubricity and electrical insulation. Like thermal conductive silicone grease, thermal conductive silicone gel is made by adding certain chemical raw materials to silicone oil and chemical processing. However, unlike thermal conductive silicone grease, there is a certain viscous substance in the chemical raw materials it adds, so the finished thermal conductive silicone gel has a certain adhesive force. The greatest characteristic of thermal conductive silica gel is that it is hard after solidification, and its thermal conductivity is slightly lower than that of thermal conductive silica grease.

Cutting fluid: Silicone oil is added to the cutting fluid to lubricate and defoam.

Demoulding: Silicone oil can be widely used as a demoulding agent in the moulding and processing of various rubber and plastic products due to its non-stickiness to rubber, plastics and metals. Its advantages are easy demoulding, clean, smooth surface and clear texture.
