Development of domestic precipitation silica

Hits: 258 img

China's precipitation silica industry has developed slowly in the initial stages. In 1958, the first set of precipitated silica industrialization equipment was completed and put into operation at the Guangzhou People's Chemical Plant, but the production capacity was small. By 1984, there were more than ten precipitation silica companies in China, with an annual production capacity of 3,500 tons and an output of 2,600 tons. The rapid development of domestic rubber shoe production in the 1980s drove the market demand for silica. After the 10,000-ton silica plant introduced in Nanchang was put into operation in 1989, the annual production capacity of precipitation silica in China increased to 30,000 tons. The output increased to 20,000 tons.

After a long period of initial development, China's precipitation silica industry began to develop rapidly in the 1990s. By 2007, China's precipitation silica technology had made great progress. The high-concentration sulfuric acid method replaced the dilute sulfuric acid method to achieve In order to complete the entire reaction process in a reaction kettle, the direct heating of the steam has replaced the indirect heating of the steam jacket. The development of process technology not only improves the thermal efficiency, but also facilitates the use of large reactors and DCS computer control. In addition, the domestic silicon dioxide equipment manufacturing capacity has also been greatly improved, especially large reinforced polypropylene box-type automatic unloading filter presses (with a filtering area of up to 500 square meters) and large spray dryers (the annual production capacity of a single unit can be (Up to 20,000 tons), the equipment used for 10,000-ton production units has basically been domestically produced, and construction investment has been significantly reduced. Therefore, the 10,000-ton devices have developed rapidly, creating good results for improving product quality and reducing raw material and power consumption. condition.

In 2010, China's total silica output was about 934,000 tons, and the actual domestic consumption was 622,000 tons. The rubber industry accounted for more than 70% of the total silica consumption, of which 42% was made by shoes, 16% by tires, and silicone rubber. Rubber products such as rubber rollers, tapes and cables account for 13%. The main market for silicon dioxide is still the shoe industry, with less use in the tire industry.

In November 2012, the European Union began to implement the tire labeling law. Affected by this, many countries began to formulate their own tire labeling regulations. China has also identified green tires as the development direction of the tire industry. Green tires have entered a large-scale and orderly collaborative development phase. Green tires The development has driven the market demand for tire silica.
