What glue is high temperature resistant? What are the organic high temperature adhesives?

Common organic high-temperature adhesives mainly include silicone-based adhesives, phenolic resin adhesives, and temperature-resistant epoxy adhesives. These adhesives generally have a high-temperature resistance below 400 ° C. Generally, in order to give these glues more properties, functional fillers such as insulation, thermal conductivity, fire resistance, and flame retardant can be added. Although they are resistant to high temperatures, these glues each have other "attributes", both soft and elastic, and hard and rigid. Among them, the strength of epoxy glue bonding is the highest, and the effect of high temperature and high speed resistance is also very good, so it is generally used in the fields of aeromodelling motors, functional ceramics and other fields.

High temperature resistant adhesive is a kind of high temperature resistant inorganic adhesive. After curing, it has good adhesion and is not hard to crack. What are the high temperature resistant adhesives? We can fully understand from the classification of high temperature resistant adhesives.

1. High temperature resistant adhesives are classified by main chemical composition or base material

According to the main chemical composition or base material of the adhesive, the adhesive can be divided into two categories: inorganic adhesive and organic adhesive.

2. Classification by apparent physical form

According to the appearance of adhesives on the market, people often divide adhesives into the following four types.

(1) Solvent type. Synthetic resin or rubber is formulated into a solution of a certain viscosity in an appropriate solvent. All synthetic resins are mainly two types of thermoset and thermoplastic, so rubber includes natural rubber and synthetic rubber.

(2) Emulsion type. Synthetic resin and rubber are dispersed in water to form aqueous solutions and emulsions

(3) Paste or paste type. This is a kind of volatile high-viscosity adhesive, which is used for sealing and caulking.

(4) Solid type. Generally, the thermoplastic synthetic resin or rubber is made into a granular, block or ribbon shape, which can be applied after heating and melting, and then solidifies after cooling, which is also called hot melt adhesive film type. The adhesive is coated on various substrates (paper, cloth, glass, etc.) as a film-like tape, or made of synthetic resin or rubber directly into a film, the latter often has occasions requiring high adhesive strength.

3. Classified by curing method

Adhesives generally require curing during the bonding process. According to their curing methods, they are generally divided into the following five types.

(1) Water-based evaporation type. Such as polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution and ethylene-ethyl acetate copolymer emulsion adhesive.
(2) Solvent volatile type. Such as neoprene adhesive.
(3) Hot melt type. Such as granular, rod-shaped, ribbon-ethyl acetate hot-melt adhesive.
(4) Chemical reaction type. Such as a-cyanoacrylate instant glue, acrylic double fat anaerobic glue and butadiene glue.
(5) Pressure-sensitive type. Adhesive that can be bonded and uncured under pressure, commonly known as self-adhesive.

4. Classified by force

Adhesives can generally be divided into two types: structural adhesives and non-structural adhesives.

(1) Structural adhesive. This type of adhesive can transmit large stresses and can be bonded by structural parts. This kind of adhesive is usually made of thermosetting resin. Epoxy resin or modified epoxy resin, phenolic resin or modified phenolic resin are usually used as the main components.

(2) Non-structural adhesive. This type of adhesive cannot transmit large stresses, and is often used as the main component of hot-melt resins and synthetic rubbers, such as silicone rubber adhesives used in the electronics industry.

5. Classification by use

Adhesives are mainly classified into metal, plastic, fabric, paper, medical, footwear, woodworking, construction, automobile, aircraft, electronic components and other special adhesives, as well as special functional adhesives, such as conductive adhesive, magnetic conductive adhesive, high temperature resistant , Semiconductor glue, medical glue, etc.
