Study on high temperature resistant silicone / epoxy resin powder coating for automobile exhaust pipe
Aiming at the application environment of automobile exhaust pipe, a kind of high temperature resistant powder coating suitable for automobile exhaust pipe was studied. A kind of high temperature resistant powder coating was prepared based on organosilicon resin and epoxy resin. The silicon curing agent is vn-302, and the epoxy resin curing agent is phenol curing agent. Adding boron containing glass powder can improve the high temperature resistant performance, and talcum powder can improve the baking performance The coating integrity, the thermal weight loss stability of the coating can be improved by silica powder, and the adhesion of the coating can be improved by silane coupling agent. Silicone / epoxy resin high temperature resistant powder coating was successfully prepared by premixing raw materials, melting extrusion and grinding. The properties of silicone / epoxy high temperature resistant powder coating were characterized and tested by impact test, high temperature resistance and color difference analysis. The effects of the proportion of silicone resin and epoxy resin on the high temperature resistant properties of the coating were investigated. The effects of the amount of boronic glass powder, talcum powder, leveling agent and silane coupling agent on the high temperature resistant properties of the coating were also investigated. The results show that the optimized coating has excellent high temperature resistance and good mechanical properties, which is fully suitable for the use of automobile exhaust pipe.

Nowadays, the environmental protection policy is more and more strict, which makes more and more coating manufacturers use the powder coating with no pollution and high utilization rate. It is a trend to develop functional powder coatings for special occasions, such as high temperature resistant powder coatings. High temperature resistant powder coating is widely used, such as oven, heater, high temperature furnace, vehicle exhaust pipe, special hot pipe, etc. High temperature resistant powder coating not only has the performance of ordinary powder coating, but also has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Due to the poor service conditions of powder coating for automobile exhaust pipe, the temperature of exhaust pipe is more than 500 ℃, and the working time is long, while the traditional solvent coating will be gradually restricted under the increasingly strict supervision of environmental protection policy, so it is of great significance to develop high temperature resistant powder coating for automobile exhaust pipe.
In this study, organic epoxy resin was used as film-forming material, vn-203 as curing agent of silicone resin, phenol curing agent as curing agent of epoxy resin, and glass powder, talcum powder, silica micro powder, ferromanganese black, leveling agent and silane coupling agent were added to improve the high temperature resistance and good mechanical properties of the coating.
