Organosilicon, also known as silicone or siloxane, is a kind of organosiloxane polymer formed by the alternation of silicon and oxygen in the main chain. Because its structure contains both "organic group" and "inorganic structure", it has both organic and inorganic chemical properties.
As one of the uses of silicone rubber, silicone rubber foam material not only has excellent properties of silicone rubber itself, but also has the characteristics of foam material, and it is widely used in aerospace, automobile, power electronics, military industry and other fields.
With the development of rail transit industry towards high speed, safety, comfort and environmental protection, higher requirements are put forward for high polymer materials for rail vehicles. Silicone rubber foam material is a kind of porous, low-density, compressible polymer elastomer material, which is made of various silicone oil, fillers, crosslinking, foaming agent and so on, after being mixed evenly and foamed and vulcanized at room temperature / high temperature. Compared with polyurethane foam, silicone foam can meet the requirements of EN45545-2 in terms of flame retardancy, the foam density is 0.08~0.15g/cm3, the service life is up to 2~4 times of polyurethane foam, and it is also superior to polyurethane foam in terms of comfort, foam density and environmental protection. Therefore, it has greater application prospects in aerospace, rail transportation and high-end automotive industry.
Silicone rubber foam takes into account the high elasticity of silicone rubber and the sound absorption and damping properties of foam. It is widely used in seat, damping pad, gasket, sound insulation material, insulation material, aviation insulation material and other high performance materials.
