What's the difference between the uses of different kinds of carbon black?

Classification of carbon black by use

According to its application, it can be divided into two categories: carbon black for rubber and carbon black for pigment

1. Classification of carbon black for pigment

According to the coloring ability of carbon black in the world, it is generally divided into three categories: high pigment carbon black, medium pigment carbon black and low pigment carbon black. This classification system is usually represented by three English letters. The first two letters represent the tinting capacity, and the last one represents the production method

For example: high color channel

HCF (high color furnace)

The classification of colouring pigments is mainly based on particle size and blackness. High pigment bath black (10-14nm), medium pigment bath black (15-27nm), medium pigment furnace black (17-27nm), low pigment furnace black (28-70nm)

2. Classification of carbon black for rubber

The naming system is composed of four systems, taking into account the curing speed and structure of carbon black rubber. The first letter represents the curing speed of the compound. N stands for normal vulcanization rate and s for slow vulcanization rate. The first letter of the following three letters represents the carbon black nitrogen surface area range. The second and third numbers reflect different levels of structure.
