The difference between fluorine release film and silicone oil film!


Engaged in the mobile phone auxiliary material product die-cutting operation needs to have a certain understanding of the material matching, classification, discrimination, etc., but the mobile phone auxiliary material product involves a lot of material types, each material subdivision is different, the difference is also different, today in terms of fluorine film and silicone oil film, the two kinds of parting film appearance difference is not big, but what are the specific difference classifications?


Fluoride release membrane


First of all, look at the fluorine release film, which is also called fluorine release film, fluorine release film, fluorine release film, pet fluorine release film. It is widely used in the production of PI, green high-temperature tape, silicone double-sided tape die-cutting punch, thermal conductive silicone tape casting and other industrial products.


According to the different applications of fluoro release membrane, the products can be divided into the following three categories:


● wet coating: refers to the uniform coating of silica gel on the free surface of the fluorine release film as the base material, and the high-temperature curing molding of the film together with silica gel into the oven, which is called wet coating;


● hot sticking: the fluorine release film is placed at the fitting place. When pet or PI coating silica gel still has residual temperature, it will stick with the fluorine release film. The fluorine release film does not need to enter the high temperature of the oven, which is called hot sticking;


● cold sticking: fluorine release film adheres to silica gel products, such as 3M silica gel, double-sided adhesive 9731, 3m9119, 3m4377, etc., which are processed by punching, or made into finished products required by customers. The manufacturing process is carried out at room temperature and does not involve temperature, so it is called cold sticking.


Silicone oil film


Pet silicone oil film, also known as pet release film for short, is to coat a layer of silicone oil on the surface of PET film to reduce the adhesion on the surface of PET film, so as to achieve the effect of release. It can be divided into single-sided release film and double-sided release film; according to the release force, it can be divided into light release film, medium release film and heavy release film.


Application scope:


Pet release film has been widely used in packaging, printing, circuit board, laser anti-counterfeiting, lamination, electronics, sealing material film, reflective material, waterproof material, medicine (plaster paper), toilet paper, adhesive products, die cutting and punching processing and other industries.


Common characteristics of fluorine release film and silicone oil film:


1. Pet is used as the base material, and the product surface is coated with 0.2um-0.6um release substance;


2. The surface is smooth and even;


3. There is no wrinkle or tear;


4. No particle, bubble, pinhole and other defects;


5. Small thickness tolerance and high transparency;


6. Low thermal shrinkage and good flexibility.

If we get these two materials, how can we distinguish them? Actually, from the surface, we can't see any difference between the fluoro release film and the silicone oil film, and the appearance is almost indistinguishable. Therefore, to understand the difference between the two materials, we can analyze it through the following points:


1. The fluorine release film will not react to the silica gel surface, and the release force is stable; the silicone oil film will react and cannot be peeled off;


2. Price difference: the price of fluorine release film is higher than that of silicone oil film;


3. My-2g is used for the release force test of fluorine film and tesa7475 is used for the release force test of silicon oil film (refer to the standards provided by the manufacturer for specific test steps);


4. In the selection of die-cutting materials: General silica gel tape with fluorine film, while acrylic tape with silicone oil film, of course, different products will choose different materials.
