201 methyl silicone oil is a novel silicone synthetic material. It is a colorless and transparent oily liquid. Its chemical composition is straight chain polymethylsiloxane
Because of the stability of silicon oxygen bond, the hydrophobicity of methyl and the structural characteristics of methyl siloxane polymer, methyl silicone oil has good heat resistance. Flash light, non-volatile, small viscosity coefficient, large compression force, small surface tension, chemical stability, good electrical (insulation), water and moisture resistance, non-toxic effect on organisms (including humans). In order to make methyl silicone oil form film or rubber like solid substance on the surface of other objects, it can be cured by heating at high temperature (250-300 ℃) or adding appropriate catalyst (generally peroxide). The temperature range of methyl silicone oil is 50-180 ℃.
The physical and chemical properties and characteristic parameters of methyl silicone oil with different viscosity are also different. The product is divided into 201-10, 201-50, 201-100, 201-350, 201-500, 201-800, 201-1000 and other brands by viscosity. It can also be made into other special viscosity products according to the requirements of users.
Application scope
1. It is used as heat, arc, corrosion and moisture resistant insulation medium in electrical and electronic industries.
2. Excellent heat carrier in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industrial sectors.
3. It can be used as an efficient defoamer in synthetic resin, oil processing, food manufacturing, fermentation, papermaking and other processes.
4. It is used for shock proof, damping, lubrication, force transmission, etc. in precision machinery and instruments.
5. Used as high temperature release agent in plastic and rubber molding and processing, as well as food production.
6. It can be used as surface treatment agent on glass, ceramics, metal, leather, fabric, silk thread and cement products to enhance, drain and resist corrosion, mould and smooth.
7. It is used as an additive in paint, grease, cosmetics and other products to improve the leveling, smoothness and other properties.
8. It has many uses in medical treatment, such as surgery, wound dressing, injection treatment, blood storage and oral medicine.
Need attention
1. When heated, the methyl silicone oil has certain destructive effect on contacting with acid or alkali. When the methyl silicone oil contacts with air at a temperature higher than 200 ℃, it can produce oxidation and precipitate corrosive formaldehyde and other low boiling substances. Although the methyl silicone oil will not self ignite under normal temperature, it will burn when it reaches the burning point (450 ℃ - 500 ℃) or contact, making a large amount of cotton like silica diffuse in the space (in case of fire, sand or wet gunny bag can be used for extinguishing).
2. If the methyl silicone oil is well packed and stored, it can last for a long time (the storage period is temporarily determined to be 5 years, and it can be rechecked after the expiration of the time limit. If no deterioration is found, it can continue to be named).
