Silicone | Vitamin for Life/Industry
concept
Organosilicon, or organosilicon compounds, refers to compounds containing Si-O bonds and having at least one organic group directly linked to the silicon atom. It is customary to treat those compounds which connect the organic group to the silicon atom through oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc. as organosilicon compounds. Among them, polysiloxane, which is composed of silicon-oxygen bond (-Si-0-Si-) as the skeleton, is one of the most widely studied and widely used organosilicon compounds, accounting for more than 90% of the total dosage.
I. Basic Introduction
Silicone chemistry mainly studies the properties and reactivity of organosilicon compounds. Organosilicon compounds are organic compounds containing carbon-silicon bonds. Like carbon, silicone is tetrahedral.
In biological molecules, no compounds containing carbon-silicon bonds have been found. The first organosilicon compound was made in 1863 by French chemist Charles Friedel C (French chemist and mineralogist). Strasbourg native and former professor of chemistry at the University of Paris. It was discovered jointly by Crafts J, an American chemist who was sent to work with Friedel in 1861 to study the synthesis of organosilicon compounds.
They reacted with silicon tetrachloride and diethyl zinc to produce tetraethyl silicon. Simple silicon carbide, silicon carbide, is an inorganic compound.
In recent years, China's silicone consumption has maintained an average annual double-digit growth rate, and has become the world's second largest consumer after the United States.
Silicone is an important component of the new chemical material industry and an important basic material for the development of the seven strategic emerging industries proposed by the State Council. It plays an irreplaceable role in many other chemical materials and is a veritable "industrial vitamin" and "scientific and technological catalyst".
China's silicone industry has formed a high-tech industry with numerous production enterprises, complete product categories, high correlation with other industries, huge development potential and market prospects. At present, the production technology level of silicone monomers has approached the international advanced level. Relying on domestic technology, the production capacity of organosilicon monomers in China has expanded rapidly in recent years. At present, the upstream products (organosilicon monomers) of organosilicon in China have been basically saturated, and the main downstream products basically meet the market demand.
Intellectual Research Data Research Center (a comprehensive portal of industry research reports, investment prospects consulting reports, market analysis, industry research reports, market assessment, industry information, investment intelligence). Data show that: in the world silicone industry chain, China is not only the main upstream raw material supplier, but also the most important downstream product market. Blue Star Group (a professional company of China Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., with materials science, life science and environmental science as its leading business, is a global chemical material and special chemicals company), as the leading enterprise in the domestic silicone industry, actively implements the "going out" strategy, and acquires the French Rhodia Company. Silicone business, and become one of the world's five major silicone enterprises. China's silicone industry is gradually transforming from a resource-rich country and a market-rich country to an industrial country.
