Supplementary Description of Silicone Waterproofing Agent
Silicone waterproofing agent is a highly effective waterproofing agent synthesized from monomethyl alkane. It has a good affinity to many building materials, especially silicate building materials. It can self-agglomerate with carbon dioxide in the air to form a layer of silicone resin waterproofing film, which has good water permeability. It is a kind of high-quality, low-cost and high-efficiency waterproofing material for building materials. It has been built and built in China. Repair, building materials, decoration and other industries are widely used.
The performance and characteristics of silicone waterproofing agent are colorless or light yellow liquid, non-toxic, non-volatile, non-containing (methanol, benzene, dilute materials), alkaline, easy to react with carbon dioxide and form polymer network silicone resin film. It has good waterproof performance, long service life, acid and alkali resistance, pollution prevention, weatherproof, non-corrosive to reinforcing bars, expansive effect, and can compensate shrinkage of mortar and concrete. It is well received by users because of its low price and convenient construction.
Matters needing attention
1. Silicone waterproofing agent can be used in winter with sodium nitrite antifreeze agent.
2. Silicone waterproofing agent is a general chemical. Construction personnel should be careful not to splash on the face, especially in the eyes, or wash with plenty of clean water or ask doctors to deal with it immediately during storage, transportation and use. Wear labor gloves, protective glasses and work clothes to avoid contact with skin.
3. Silicone waterproofing agent should not touch active metals such as zinc, aluminium and tin in transportation and use. It should not be stored in iron metal containers to avoid deterioration of products and corrosion of containers caused by chemical reactions.
Water repellency principle
The water repellent principle of silicone milk: when the polysilicon milk is heated to above 140 degrees, polysiloxane is aligned on the fabric, and the hydrophobic CH3 is outward. The silicon atoms and oxygen atoms of the silicone oil emulsion form valence and hydrogen bonds with some atoms on the fiber, so that water vapor and air can pass through the fabric and the water drops can not pass through. The hydroxyl of the top of the silicone oil emulsion is grafted with hydrogenated silicone oil, that is, the Si.H bond of hydrogenated silicone oil is hydrolyzed to Si.H, and it is dehydrated to form long chain molecules with hydroxyl terminated hydroxyl group. The molecules become larger, softer and increase water repellency. Silicone oil and hydrogenated silicone oil are crosslinked on the fabric surface at 150-180 C to form polyorganosiloxane resin film insoluble in water and solvent. Methyl in the silane structure is outward, resulting in water repellency, membrane discontinuity and permeability.
Scope of application
It is widely applied to the interior and exterior walls of various buildings, especially to solve the problem of indoor mildew caused by the seepage of the east wall and the north wall of civil buildings. In addition, it can also be widely used for the moisture-proof and mildew-proof treatment before interior decoration, the anti-pollution and cleaning, weathering and acid rain treatment of the interior and exterior walls of industrial factory buildings, as well as reservoirs, water towers and storage. Waterproofing works of water pools, sewage treatment plants and agricultural irrigation and drainage channels are also applicable to ancient buildings, stone tablets, ceramic tiles, library archives, precision instrument rooms and computer rooms, transformer and distribution rooms, warehouses, etc.
