Introduction of the speaker
Ge Shirong, male, born in April 1963 in Tiantai, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from Heilongjiang Institute of mining industry in July 1983 and obtained the doctor's degree of engineering from China University of mining industry in 1989. He has been the assistant president of China University of mining and technology since October 1994, vice president of China University of mining and technology since March 1997, President of China University of mining and technology since August 2007, President and Deputy Secretary of Party committee of China University of mining and technology since April 2017, and President and Deputy Secretary of Party committee of China University of mining and Technology (Beijing) since October 2018.
Ge Shirong's research field is intelligent mining equipment and tribology. He has published more than 240 papers, published 4 books, such as mining transportation technology and equipment, excellent mining engineer, fractal of tribology, etc., served as the chief scientist of national key research and development plan (973 Plan), won 2 second prizes of national technology invention, 1 second prize and 1 third prize of national science and technology progress 。 He has won the "National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars" support, and won the "China Youth Science and Technology Award", "national young and middle-aged technical experts with outstanding contributions", "national excellent scientific and technological workers", "He Liang He Li Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award", "world energy Forum Technology Innovation Award", "Sun Yueqi energy science and Technology Award". In 2012, he was elected as a foreign academician of Russian Academy of engineering.
Ge Shirong was appointed as a member of the 7th science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of education. He was employed as a member of the academic committee of the State Key Laboratory of tribology, Tsinghua University, the State Key Laboratory of solid lubrication, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the State Key Laboratory of mechanical transmission, Chongqing University. At present, he is also vice president of China Coal Society and chairman of tribology branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society.
