Jiangyin Campus (phase I) project of Jiangnan University is planned to start in June 2020 and complete in June 2021, with a construction period of 12 months.
According to the cooperation agreement between Jiangyin municipal government and Jiangnan University, Jiangyin campus of Jiangnan University is located in the south side of Furong Avenue, the east side of Xianan Road, the west side of Xiadong road and the north side of xinchengyang road in Jiangyin City, with a total planned land area of 791.9 mu, which is implemented in two phases. The project is a phase I project, with a planned land area of 478.7 mu, a total planned building area of 173900 square meters (including underground building area), and a main building area The construction content includes the civil engineering and installation works (including basement), decoration works, outdoor infrastructure works (including standard track and field field field, outdoor basketball, volleyball, tennis, supporting landscape, road, parking lot, fence, guard room, greening, etc.) of teaching building, library, gymnasium, experimental building, student apartment, canteen, administrative service center and other buildings.
According to the basic requirements of "elaborate design, outstanding function and advanced construction", the design is based on the concept of island type ecological campus and landscape campus with "Jiangyin water town" as regional characteristics.
With the concept of cell growth mode, the overall planning and layout of the campus has the characteristics of openness and vitality. The campus system and flexible and free space can meet the needs of the flexible development of the campus and realize the sustainable development of the campus.
In terms of spatial layout, in the way of "core + ethnic group", the development of campus ethnic group relies on the "campus central area" composed of Library and central waterscape, which is surrounded by the central area for organic growth. The campus central area becomes the mother cell group, surrounded by the "ethnic group" - college groups, dormitory groups, living facilities groups combined with the terrain.
International Exchange Center Group and administrative office group are respectively set up along the East and west sides of the north gate (main gate); independent high-level talent apartments with beautiful environment are set up in the southwest corner and southeast corner of the campus; in the south of the campus, field path sports fields are set up along the East and west sides of the North-South central axis of the campus, while other small sports fields such as basketball court, volleyball court and badminton court are set up along the middle In order to have high coverage and accessibility, the waterscape of the core landscape is scattered; the student dormitory group and the teaching building group of the corresponding college form "clusters" which are respectively arranged on the south side of the central waterscape; in the core of the central waterscape, "campus central area", there is the core building of the campus image - the library, which is located at the intersection of the north-south axis and the east-west axis of the campus.
The plane layout design is of great significance for the full play of the function and the use effect and benefit. There are Furong Avenue, Xianan Road, Xiadong road and planned xinchengyang road around the project plot, with convenient transportation and good external access. There are four entrances and exits in the campus design. The main entrance is located in the South and north sides of the plot, with Furong Avenue in the north and xinchengyang road in the south. As the main entrance and exit for teaching activities and outside, it is convenient to contact with the city. One secondary entrance and exit is set on the west side and the east side respectively, which are connected with Xianan road and Xiadong road.
The park adopts the design concept of separation of people and vehicles. The main vehicle system is the outer ring to avoid introducing too many vehicles into the campus. The main pedestrian system is the inner ring. In addition, circular fire lane and end road fire lane are set in the park, and the fire lane is connected with the fire ring road in the site, so as to ensure that each single building is equipped with accessible fire roads.
The north side of the project construction site is separated by Furong Avenue, Jinjiang Huayuan, huiyancheng and other residential areas, the east side by Xiadong road is open space and wudaosi (145 meters away from the project boundary), the south side by xinchengyang road is open space, and the west side by Xianan road is residential area of Xianan Village (20 meters away from the project boundary).
