The preparation of architectural coatings is a rather delicate work. Finding a comprehensive and cost-effective combination of additives, pigments and emulsions is a new challenge every time. For this reason, Evonik paint additive business line has launched a complete set of additive combination, which makes the work of formula designer easier.
The newly developed Tego? Foamex 9 is one of the featured products in this portfolio. The product is a mineral oil defoamer with long-term effect and good paint compatibility. It can be used during grinding or paint mixing. This new defoamer complements Evonik's siloxane defoamer portfolio, allowing customers to choose the type of defoamer most suitable for their formula. This advantage is particularly important for mass production of coatings. In addition, customers can more easily use this new defoamer to replace the currently used mineral oil defoamer. In addition to architectural coatings, Tego? Foamex 9 can also be used for the preparation of pigment concentrate.
In addition, Evonik paint additives business line also launched three cost-effective new dispersants, which are applicable to inorganic pigments and fillers: Tego? Dispers 711w and Tego? Dispers 717w are sodium polyacrylate dispersants with different molecular weight, while Tego? Dispers 712w is ammonium polyacrylate dispersant. All three products have good dispersion, viscosity reduction and excellent color acceptance.
With the introduction of the above four new products, Evonik paint additive business line can provide customers with a richer product portfolio of various paint formulations on the premise of ensuring product performance, so as to meet the demand of large-scale paint production.
