College introduction
The school of mining engineering of China University of mining industry has a history of one hundred years. It has incorporated the mining departments of Tsinghua University, Beiyang University (Tianjin University), Tangshan railway University and other universities into our school.
At present, the college has 145 full-time faculty members, including 3 academicians (including external), 46 professors of the two academies, and more than 40 winners of national outstanding youth fund and other talent titles. Set up three undergraduate majors of mining engineering, transportation and industrial engineering. At present, there are more than 2000 students in the school, and the ratio of undergraduates to postgraduates is 1:1.
The college has 1 first level discipline doctoral degree authorization point, 2 second level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 3 master's degree authorization points, 3 professional degree authorization points and mining engineering postdoctoral research flow station. A number of national teaching and scientific research platforms have been established, including "National Key Laboratory of coal resources and safe mining", "national experimental teaching demonstration center of mining engineering" and "national virtual simulation experimental teaching center of mining engineering", and the Journal of "mining and safety engineering" (included in EI) has been hosted. Mining engineering discipline is the key construction discipline of "211 Project", "985 project advantage discipline innovation platform" and "world-class discipline construction". In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of education, it was rated as a + (ranking first in China), the best discipline in 2019 in China was ranked first, and QS ranked 33rd in the world in 2020.
College Development
Since the 11th five year plan, the college has undertaken hundreds of national scientific research projects and won 12 national science and technology awards. The college has always maintained normal scientific and technological cooperation with domestic energy and mining research institutes and large coal bases, and established a stable academic exchange and mutual visit mechanism with more than 20 foreign universities and research institutions such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Russia.
