On the afternoon of March 27, 2020, the "special lecture on disinfection operation analysis and optimization of urban sewage treatment plant" hosted by sewage treatment branch of Henan municipal public utility association was held as scheduled. The lecture took the form of live broadcast of Tencent conference and invited Li Ji, the leader of national sewage treatment plant performance evaluation expert group and professor of Jiangnan University, to give a lecture. More than 230 members of sewage treatment plants from all over the province participated in the live broadcast training.

Since the outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia, the provincial cadres and workers in the sewage treatment industry have been fighting for the first line of sewage treatment, and have made important contributions to the protection of people's livelihood. Affected by the epidemic situation, the sewage treatment branch of Henan municipal public utility Association specially invited Professor Li Ji of Jiangnan University to give a special lecture on "analysis and optimization of disinfection operation of urban sewage treatment plant" in order to meet the needs of member units and flexibly adjust the training methods, so as to help the sewage treatment plants in various cities to achieve technical improvement in disinfection operation.

Li Ji is a professor of Jiangnan University and doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University. He has been engaged in the construction, operation and management of sewage treatment plant, standard raising and transformation, scientific and technological research for a long time, and enjoys a high reputation in the sewage treatment industry. This lecture mainly focuses on the background of disinfection of urban sewage treatment plants, the investigation and analysis of disinfection operation of 56 urban sewage treatment plants in China, the existing problems and optimization suggestions of different disinfection modes, conclusions and prospects. At the end of the course, Professor Li Ji exchanged and interacted with representatives of member units. All member units actively asked questions in combination with the actual problems in the work of the factory, and Professor Li Ji answered them patiently and carefully. The meeting ended in a warm atmosphere and achieved satisfactory results.

This online training is the first one organized by the sewage treatment branch of Henan municipal public utility association during the epidemic prevention and control period. It gives full play to the convenience and efficiency of online courses, effectively solves the current problems concerned by member units, and is welcomed and praised by the majority of member units. The relevant person in charge of the sewage treatment branch said that in the future, based on the functions of the association and from the actual needs of the member units, it will better play the role of bridge and link of the branch, and organize the member units to learn the latest industrial policies, technical knowledge and advanced management experience through organizing training lectures, technical exchanges, visits and inspections, so as to promote the healthy development of the sewage treatment industry The exhibition contribution should have strength.
