On April 27, the results of "Wuxi Youth May 4th Medal" in 2020 were announced. In this selection, 15 May 4th Youth medals and 6 nominations were awarded. Xie Yunfei, Professor of the school of food of our university, won the "May 4th Medal of Wuxi youth" in 2020.
"Wuxi Youth May 4th Medal" is the highest honor awarded to Wuxi youth by Wuxi Youth League Committee and Youth League. It aims to cultivate and find a group of youth models who have made outstanding contributions to promoting Wuxi to be a leader in the development of "high quality" in the whole province, and to build a new Wuxi with "strong, rich, beautiful and high", so as to show the spiritual quality and value pursuit of Wuxi youth in the new era.
Professor Xie Yunfei is a teacher and vice president of our school. In the event of one of the first "one belt, one road" food education technology alliance in the world, she initiated and joined the 49 Taihu universities in 27 countries. At the same time, she also focuses on promoting the process of international talents training. In the past two years, he has successively won the project of Sino foreign cooperation in running schools by the Ministry of education, the international cooperation training project of innovative talents by the State Scholarship Fund and the "3 + 1 + 1" project with the National University of Singapore. The international exchange rate of students is 34%, and the further education rate of overseas universities is 10%. Mr. Xie Yunfei also presided over and completed the ten-year evaluation and review of the project of "food safety processing science and technology innovation talent introduction base". The second batch of bases in China entered the "111" talent introduction base 2.0 rolling support. Two members of the base won the Friendship Award of the Chinese government, and one won the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award (10 in China every year).
