Notice on holding higher mathematics competition of China University of mining and technology in 2020
Colleges and Universities: in order to cultivate talents, serve teaching, promote the reform and construction of basic courses in our university, strengthen the science foundation of college students, discover and select innovative talents in mathematics, and provide a stage for young students to display basic knowledge and thinking ability, our university plans to hold the 2020 China University of mining and technology "higher mathematics" competition.
The competition is divided into two stages: preliminary and final. The preliminaries are conducted online. Students can participate online at school and at home. The final plan will be notified according to the epidemic situation of the school.
The specific matters of the competition are hereby notified as follows:
1. Competition content
The content of the competition is the content specified in the teaching quality standards of a (1), a (2), a (3) and a (4) courses of Higher Mathematics (Tongji edition of higher mathematics textbook, in which the part of differential equations in Chapter 7 is not included in the examination scope).
2. Time and method of competition
The competition is divided into two stages: preliminary and final.
The preliminaries are to be held from 10:00-12:00 a.m. on May 24, 2020 (the 14th Sunday). The participating students need to scan the QR code (or use the course invitation code 73548205) with "super star learning pass" in advance to enter the examination platform. There is no limit to the place of participation. The top 40% of the preliminaries will enter the final, and the final list will be published on the website of the Ministry of academic affairs and the website of the school of mathematics on May 27, 2020.
The final is to be held on the morning of June 14 (Sunday, week 17). The specific mode adopted in the final will be notified separately according to the situation of epidemic prevention and control in schools.
3. Participants
All undergraduate students in our school.
4. Application method and schedule
The students will enter the competition course by scanning the QR code (or using the invitation code) of "super star learning link", sign the letter of commitment in the task module of the competition course, and the students who have signed the letter of commitment will be deemed as successful. Those who enter the competition platform but fail to sign the letter of commitment in good faith shall be deemed as failure of registration; those who have signed the letter of commitment but fail to compete shall be deemed as giving up the competition automatically.
The commitment is signed by 8:00 a.m. on May 24, 2020.
5. Competition organization
This competition is sponsored by the academic affairs department and organized by the school of mathematics. The school of mathematics is responsible for the proposition, organization, marking and awarding of contest questions.
6. Establishment of awards
According to the results of the competition and the total number of students, the first, second and third prizes and the winning prizes of the students who have entered the final (among which the students majoring in mathematics are ranked separately) will be evaluated respectively, and the school will issue the certificate of award, and the list of Awards will be published on the website of the academic affairs department and the website of the school of mathematics.
7. Other matters
(1) Online examination is adopted in the preliminary competition of this competition, and the students must abide by the promise of integrity. If you are reported to have failed to comply with your promise of good faith, your results and awards will be cancelled.
(2) The preliminaries and finals of this competition are in the form of closed papers. Students are not allowed to use auxiliary materials and tools, consult other people, or disclose the examination questions through screenshots.
