The Problem Easiest to Appear in Clinical Silicone Rubber Moulding
Mould taking is one of the things that dentists often do in the treatment of patients, and the quality of the model taken has a great relationship with the later repair. But in the process of taking the model, there may be some small details which lead to the model problems. Here are six problems and solutions of using silicone rubber to take the model.

1. Layering phenomenon after taking the mould
Possible cause: First impression contaminated by saliva or blood
Countermeasure: Cleaning and drying the first impression

2. Angular defect after removing the model
Possible Cause: Too Fast Placement of Pallets
Countermeasure: tray slowly in place

3. Position error (correcting impression technology)
Possible Reason: The first impression was not placed in its original position when it was re-placed.
Countermeasure: Make sure that the first impression is in the right place (marking can be done on the impression beforehand).

4. Advance fixed-line of secondary impression (dual-mixing technology)
Possible cause: The high temperature in the mouth makes the second impression in advance fixed before the tray is placed in the entrance cavity.
Countermeasure: Before confirming the entrance cavity of the tray, the second impression in the entrance cavity has not been fixed yet.

5. Curing Delay (Hand-adjusted Initial impression)
Possible Cause: Latex gloves contain sulfur compounds that affect platinum catalysts and thus curing.
Countermeasure: Use polyethylene gloves or plastic gloves or hand wash and mix.

6. The second impression is too thick.
