On the afternoon of April 24, the eighth meeting of the third board of directors of Jiangnan University Education Development Foundation was held in conference room b305 of the administrative building, attended by all directors and supervisors from inside and outside the University. First of all, President Chen Jian, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, delivered a speech. On behalf of the school, he thanked the directors and supervisors for their long-term support for the development of the school. In 2019, the school's various undertakings are advancing steadily, gathering the concerns of all sectors of the society and inseparable from the support of the foundation. In the face of the current situation, President Chen Jian proposed that the foundation should change its concept and create a new situation; based on the long-term, rich donation atmosphere; standardize its operation and improve its management level.

Huang Min, Secretary General of the foundation, reported on the work of the foundation in 2019. In 2019, the education development foundation of Jiangnan University strengthened contact and cooperation with all sectors of the society, strengthened standardized construction and key project planning, and actively promoted the construction of secondary fund of the college. In total, it received social donation of 26.853 million yuan in the whole year, and won the matching award of 38.65 million yuan from the Ministry of education. At the same time, it puts forward specific goals and measures for the work of the foundation in 2020, so as to actively strive for social donation and continuously improve the influence of the foundation.

The meeting deliberated and approved the work summary and financial final account report in 2019, work plan and financial budget report in 2020, major business activity plan and special fund application report in 2020, as well as the proposal on changing the institutional setting and appointment of institutional head of Jiangnan University Education Development Foundation.
The directors and supervisors at the meeting discussed enthusiastically and put forward many constructive suggestions on how to tap social resources and cultivate donation culture.
